Hi y’all, Carolina from support here again!!
My tip for today is for users that need to reuse dashboards across projects or share them with others! TagoIO lets you distribute dashboards as templates. Templates include the dashboard structure (and optionally mock data), so anyone can install a copy into their Profile.
What you can do with templates:
-
Create a public install link.
-
Add custom logos, images, and descriptions to guide users.
-
Include mock data so widgets look alive before real devices connect.
-
Export the template as JSON to publish anywhere.
How to create one:
-
Open your dashboard, click “Distribute” in the menu.
-
Customize the install page (title, logo, instructions).
-
Click “Create Template” and share the link!
Installing a template is easy:
-
The installer will walk you through connecting your own devices and analyses.
-
If it’s a Blueprint Dashboard, just match the device tags, everything else adapts automatically.
Another tip: For scalable solutions, build with Blueprint Dashboards + tags, then distribute as a template. You’ll replicate the same smart setup across dozens of devices or users effortlessly.
You can also include sample data (up to 200 KB) so the installed dashboard looks fully functional right away!
