Team members: What they can (and can't) do! [Tip #19 Carolina from Support]

Hi y’all, Carolina from support here again!!

I’ve been asked a lot about team members lately, so… here’s a post about this topic. Maybe I can help other users too.

If you need to collaborate with colleagues inside your TagoIO workspace, you can add them as Team Members to a specific Profile.

When you invite someone to your Profile using the Team feature, they gain access to all applications and assets that belong to that Profile. Only the Profile owner can send invitations, and access can be revoked anytime by removing the member from the Team list.

What Team Members can do:

  1. Access everything inside the shared Profile’s scope (dashboards, devices, analyses, actions, etc.), because Profile is an isolated environment that contains your application’s resources.
  2. Switch into the shared Profile from the profile selector to work on those resources.
  3. Collaborate under the Profile’s limits and plan, which may also cap the number of allowed Team Members.

There is more information about this here.

Really important:

  1. Make sure to only add people you fully trust as team members, since they’ll get access to almost everything in your application!
  2. Team members cannot manage resource allocation, billing, or view the audit log. Only the Profile owner has access to those administrative areas.

Hope this is useful for you!

Cheers,
