Hi y’all, Carolina from support here again!!
I wanted to share a quick tip about restoring dashboards to previous versions here in TagoIO. Did you know every change you make to a dashboard or its widgets automatically creates a version? So, If something goes wrong or you want to revert a change, you can restore your dashboard to an earlier version. A life saver right?
You just need to enable the dashboard edit mode, look for the option “Restore dashboard to a previous version.” and you’ll see a chronological list with timestamps for each saved version!
A good key point here… restoring creates a new version after the restore, so your history remains intact.
Also, here’s another important fact. The number of versions stored depends on your plan:
-
Free: 5 versions
-
Starter: 50 versions
-
Scale: 150 versions
Also, you can choose to restore only specific elements (e.g., tags) instead of the entire dashboard if needed.
Please, share with us, have you used the restore feature in production? Any best practices?
Hope this helps anyone who needs a safe rollback path for unwanted dashboard changes!
Cheers,
