Introducing AI Chat for TagoRUN

We’re introducing AI Chat for TagoRUN, a new way for your users to get help and ask for application data through a conversation, right inside your app.

When you enable it, users can open the assistant from the star icon in the sidebar. They can ask questions about your application or request readings from the resources you’ve authorized.

For a fleet-monitoring app, that might look like:

“What does battery level measure?”

“Show the latest battery readings for my trackers.”

You give the assistant the context it needs. Through the system prompt, you can explain your application, define its terminology, and describe how the assistant should communicate. You can also include useful documentation to help it answer common questions about your app.

For example, tell it that a battery reading belongs to the tracker, not the vehicle, and that answers about readings should include their measurement timestamps.

You also decide what it can access. Chat starts without access to your application’s resources. Policies control who can use it, which actions it can perform, and which resources it can access.

Need to share only part of your data? A saved TagoSQL query can give the assistant battery readings without exposing location data. With session context, that same query can restrict results to the customer associated with the user asking.

You can also choose the model used by your TagoRUN assistant and add suggested questions, with visibility conditions for different groups of users.

We’d love to hear what you build with it. What’s the first question you’d want your users to ask?
