How to transfer a TagoIO profile to another account [Tip #41 Carolina from Support]

Today is a quick tip for you that manage applications or customers using TagoIO Profiles. There may come a time when you need to move an entire environment: devices, dashboards, analyses, files, and settings to another TagoIO account.

TagoIO supports Profile transfer between accounts through a guided, manual process handled by the support team, yes, it is a manual process!!

First, a basic definition…what is a profile? A profile is like a sub-account under your main TagoIO account. It isolates resources, limits, billing, and access, making it ideal for separating customers, projects, or organizations. The main account remains the owner and can share each Profile independently with others. Source:

Important information: This service is just available for Starter and Scale plans and the transfer must be initiated by the Profile owner from the Admin panel. Source:

How to request a transfer:

  1. Go to Admin > Profiles & Teams

  2. Open the Profile you want to transfer.

  3. Click More > Transfer this profile to another account.

  4. Enter the destination account’s email.

Once you submit, TagoIO automatically creates a support ticket. The support team validates prerequisites and confirms details via email. Because it’s a manual process, completion may take a few hours.
