Device list not populating on mobile

@Andrew Sevil

Hi everyone, I have created a custom tag for all devices with the EUI of that device. The idea was to have it show on the dashboard so that when a device was being moved or renamed, you could be certain that you are moving the correct one by looking at the eui on the actual device. I created a device list table, and the EUI is selectable. Shows perfectly on the windows dashboard, but “no data available” on the phone. Any ideas?
Here is a screenshot of the dashboard on the computer…

Hi @sevils,

In order to trying to replicate the issue, I would need for you to provide the app version and the operational system of your mobile. Please send that to me and I will take a look.

@Andrew Sevil

app version TagoRun 1.5.1
app version Tagoio 5.1.2 (also doesn’t display)
Iphone 12 Pro, software version 15.1.1
Web interface on iphone does display correctly, as it does on computer.

@Guilherme Costa

Thanks @sevils ,

Web interface on iphone works. Ok. Where exactly is showing “no data available”? Are you trying to access through TagoIO app and its not displaying the devices on the device list widget?

-Guilherme

@Andrew Sevil

I was simply pointing out that both apps (TagoIo and TagoRun) don’t display the tag item.
Here is an example…device showing the tag…

So I set up a device info widget on a blueprint dashboard to display the device_eui.

So on the app, instead of seeing the device_eui as in the screenshot above, all that shows is “No data available”.

Here is my list filter settings

And my device data…

This is what it looks like in the Run app…

Hope that helps?

@Guilherme Costa

Hi @sevils ,

I see now, thank you for the elaboration.

Did you make sure the user you’re logged in on your RUN end has correctly Access permission for that device? If not, it wont appear. (That may be why its appearing on admin and not on RUN)

This is an example of full access, you can try implement it and see if the device is appearing for you on the RUN end.

Then also place the tag on the user, click on the desired user and then select “tags” tab:

Now that user will have full access and you should see the device listed, if not let me know.

@Andrew Sevil

Permissions are fine. I also see the device_eui showing in tagoRun on the computer, just not on the device…see screenshot.

Any update on this issue?

Hey Andrew!

Sorry for the late reply, our team intends to release this fix soon this week.

I suggest you subscribe to our TagoIO Release Notes page to receive alerts about new releases.

Thank you! :slight_smile:

Hi Andrew,

Yesterday we released a fix for this issue. Everything should be working as expected.

Thank you for your patience! ^^

Excellent!! Makes a huge difference to be able to edit names/parameters for clients. Thanks.

OK, still not working as expected, I created a new tab called Edit Device, added two Device Info tables with Name/EUI and a parameter with the ability to edit (not the eui of course).
On the mobile, nothing shows, even after a refresh/log out and back in…
Also one of the Device info tables which I moved from the first tab to the third, didn’t seem to move, just shows an empty square where it was removed from with the usual “waiting” circle…

Upon further inspection, the changes show perfectly on the mobile TagoIO app and the browser on phone, but TagoRUN is still not working.

Hi Andrew, thank you for reporting that,

I just asked our front-end team to analyze and get back to you.

Cheers!

This seems to be solved. Thanks for the assistance!

Hi Andrew,

Great! Thank you for letting me know.

Best regards,
