Deleted data but limit still full? Here's why... [Tip #31 Carolina from Support]

Hi y’all, Carolina from support here again and again (:

I received a ticket today with a doubt that it might be helpful to other users.

Have you ever run a cleanup to delete old data from a device and noticed that your “data records” count or limit didn’t update right away?

This is completely normal! Here’s why:

The cleanup process for removing expired or manually deleted records runs as a scheduled background task, not in real-time. This design is more efficient for system performance.

What this means for you: After records are deleted, the count reflecting your available limit will be updated after the next scheduled cycle runs. You don’t need to take any action, the system will catch up automatically.

So, if you’ve just freed up space, rest assured the update is coming. No need to worry or open a ticket for this specific delay.

Hope this clears things up!

Have you run into any other small system behaviors that had you wondering? Share them below, it might make for a great future tip :upside_down_face:

Happy week,
