Thanks for your feedback about our Webinar, I’m very happy to see that you were around looking at our approach with TagoCore and Node-RED in the Webinar, keep in mind that during our Webinars we are constantly answering questions so feel free to participate as well!
Regarding your question, TagoCore can be fully integrated with the TagoIO platform, you can use multiple plugins to create analysis and actions easily on both easily, it also provides you multiple templates that make everything much easier!
I believe that it also depends on the application you want to build. Integrating and building it directly on TagoIO and TagoCore surely makes things more reliable to work on.
Just to add to Bill’s answer: The greatest benefit is the direct integration that TagoCore has with other resources in the application. By using the MQTT Plugin to receive data in TagoCore, you can create Analyses, Actions, and many other components that run whenever new data points arrive. You may also create actions that can easily send data when other events happen in the application.
You could use Node-RED to receive MQTT data, but it would be a bit more difficult to create custom logic that integrates with other TagoCore components and resources, such as Analyses and Actions.
