I received a question from a customer today about how to ensure devices are included in Actions based on tags when selecting multiple devices, and I thought this might help other members of the community as well.
Here we go with the tip…simply configure the same Tag Keys and Tag Values on the devices you want to use in the Action. These fields must be identical in both the devices and the Action settings.
Example:
If your Action uses device_type = temperature, then only devices configured with the exact tag pair device_type (Key) and temperature (Value) will be monitored by that Action.
This way, you can automate processes for specific groups of devices easily!
