Hi,

I have a plugin in my local filesystem that I want to install as a local plugin in another tcore instance.

I am pretty sure I read or saw somewhere on how to create a plugin package, but I can’t find it anymore.

Please advice.

Kind Regards,

Erwin

Hi Erwin!

You can read more about how to create plugins [here](https://tagocore.com/docs/plugins/create).

Hi Erwin,

In my opinion, the information provided in the TagoCore documentation is insufficient, and the given example is too simple to be used as a starting point. I suggest that you review Tago’s videos on their YouTube channel. They have conducted some webinars where they cover the topic of creating plugins and show how to do it. Perhaps it can serve as a better reference for you:

[Webinar: Designing for Edge Computing with TagoCore and Plugins](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YidCR47DibE)

There may be other videos that cover these topics, but I haven’t seen them. In any case, maybe @Freddy Minuzzi can suggest some more videos that demonstrate how to create plugins.

Thanks a bunch, that video has the clue at 40 minutes in.

Indeed, good luck finding that somewhere in the documentation.

Thanks again for pointing this out. This is exactly where I saw it initially.

Cheers,

Erwin

Hi @Freddy,

Thanks for the reply. I have updated the subject to include the word ‘package’. I am familiair with how to create a plugin. The question is how to package this up locally and deploy in another instance. Without going the plugin repository yet.

Thanks,

Erwin

Hi Erwin,

Are you using a TagoCore Cluster? If so, currently you can only install plugins from the store.

No, stand-alone tcore.

I have verified that the instructions in the video mentioned above work.

Thanks,

Erwin
