Background video not playing on iOS

Hi,

We have configured video as our background for RUN login page. It works correctly on desktop Chrome/Edge, but does not autoplay on iOS Edge/Safari.
It seems like <video> tag is missing playsinline muted attributes, but maybe there’s some known workaround for this problem?

I tried opening your Run login page on iOS (Safari and Egde) and it worked correctly. Is this happening on multiple iOS devices? I suggest you check if there’s any autoplay function deactivated on your browser or any kind of configuration to reduce data usage in your iPhone or browser.

For now, the workaround would be using another browser. Your report is now on our roadmap, soon our team will analyze it to identify the problem.

We checked it on iPhone 7, iOS 14.6, Chrome 91.0.4472.80 and iPhone 8, iOS 14.2, Safari and Edge 46.3.23
It was checked on WiFi, so no data usage restrictions should be the problem.

Thank you for the update. It fixed the issue on iPhone 8, iOS 14.2, both browsers, but on iPhone 7, iOS 14.6 it’s still the same.
